The County Road 43 Widening Project work began in March of 2024, and is is anticipated to be completed in early 2027. Much work has been completed to date, including:
- Installation of storm sewers and new asphalt being laid
- Substructure work on the bridge, placing concrete as well as abutments (structure footings) on both sides of the bridge
- Underground infrastructure along the south side of CR43 between Anniversary Way and King Street towards the river
